FAQ for MINI CLUB 2017:

How many athletes to a team?

There are 8-10 athletes per team

What are practice dates?

Monday/Wed 5:00-7:00 pm or 7:00-9:00 pm
Tues/Thur 5:00-7:00 pm or 7:00-9:00 pm

When is team placement?

Saturday, August 5th, 2017 or Saturday, August 12, 2017

What if I can’t make the team placement?

You need to register to save your spot on a team.  Once teams are formed we cannot guarantee a spot on a team. If your athlete is unable to make one of the two above dates, please call and schedule a private evaluation.

What is the cost?

Volleyball ages 10U – 16U is $500 ( this includes the $50 try out fee)

Are there any additional costs?

Athletes will need to purchase an AAU Membership $14 after August 20th.
Parents will need to pay for their entry fees to tournament venues usually $5
and provide transportation to and from the venues.   Athletes will also need to
wear BLACK spandex to games.

Do you have to pay all at once?

No, the first payment of $250 is due at registration and then second payment of $250 is due September 4, 2017.

How do I determine the appropriate age group my child will try out for? 

How old will your child be September 1, 2018? This will be the determined age group for mini club and regular season. Players may be moved at the discretion of the Club director depending on ability and experience.

What are the tournament dates for the Mini Club season?

  • September 23, 2017
  • September 30, 2017
  • October 14, 2017
  • October 21, 2017 (mini club championship)

What do I need to bring to team placement day?

You need to bring confirmation of registration,  first payment of $250, water, and wear appropriate volleyball gear (knee pads, spandex, t-shirt, and athletic shoes).

Do we offer scholarships or payment plans?

At this time we do not offer scholarships for mini club but we do offer payment plans.  Please call the office for more information.

What is the youngest age we accept?

We start at the age of 8 years of age but we understand that there are some younger kids that are very athletic and ready to learn. Please call our office for additional information.

What is the oldest age we accept?

The athlete cannot turn 17 years old before September 1, 2018.

DISCLAIMERS: Per the Acknowledgment Form you signed:
 For all credit card payments there is a convenience fee of 2.9% of the total invoice amount and a transaction fee of $0.30 per each credit card transaction.
 For any invoice not paid within 10 days of the invoice due date there will be a $5 per day charge added to the total invoice amount. Additionally, your child/children will not be able to participate in practice our tournament until payment is received in full.
 There are no refunds for any payments made to WPVC. If you choose to quit Winter Park Volleyball Club (WPVC), the club dues/any tournament balances are due within 3 business days. Failure to pay balance to club will result in a 18% APR interest charge beginning the 1st day late plus all Legal, Collection, and Court Costs-Fees, and Expenses.
